Since assuming his post as CEO and President of Daniel H. Cook Associates Inc., a third-party administrator and consulting firm, Marshall Cook has reshaped the company's vision and redefined its direction. As a result, Daniel H. Cook Associates is presently one of the largest TPA's in the New York Metropolitan Area.
Mr. Cook's responsibilities include such client services as the preparation and presentation of proposals; the formulation of budget and trends analyses; operational control of client's dental facilities; and utilization data analysis. He acts as consultant in all employee benefit areas and directly handles the pricing of the services rendered by the company. In addition, he has used his expertise to design and build medical and dental centers. Mr. Cook is also cognizant of various Y2K problems that may affect the industry and is adept at Y2K coordination and problem solving.
Prior to joining Daniel H. Cook Associates, Mr. Cook was with Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb as a Commercial Paper Trader responsible for several Fortune 500 clients including Caterpillar Tractor, Textron Inc., Litton Industries, Disney, and British Petroleum. At that time, at age 23, he was the youngest commercial paper trader on the street.
Marshall Cook is a graduate of Western New England College, Class of 77, where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Political Science and Theory. He was on the Varsity Tennis Team for four years and the team's captain for two years. He was first team All New England for two years and was second team All American Division III for one year. While attending WNEC, he was accepted into the Washington Semester Program as one of two hundred students selected nationwide to serve as administrative aides to senators and congressmen. He was assigned as aide to the Honorable Leo C. Zefferetti, Congressman from the 15th Congressional District in Brooklyn. Mr. Cook earned a 4.0 GPA in this program.
Mr. Cook is also the co-founder and principal of Union Connection LLC, an organization bridging the digital divide between numerous unions and organizations.
